Inter-Civilization Youth Engagement Program 4

Recently, participated this international youth event to be the change agent to shape the global youth culture
(Let's hope we can start it!!)

I will share you some shots I took...

It begins here...

As it was held in Malacca(my hometown), this two powerful words break the ice of all 40 selected youth from all around the world...

We realized that no matter from which part of the world we are from, we shared the same thing.. Include this paper that we have folded...

We have lots of discussion...

We have a lot of thinking ongoing anytime, anywhere...

We have plenty of drawings...

'Unity and diversity' or 'Unity in diversity' we are looking for?

Sometimes we discussed and we were confused...

Even entertainment is part of our discussion... This is one main source that shape youth nowadays...

We understand that facebook eats up almost everything include our childhood games we used to play...

We discussed about the authority... What made them the kings when the world is fumbling day by day...

Do people really do as the Romans do when they reach Rome? Are you willing to sacrifice your culture?

Sheep representing the world ecosystem, saying that we have to protect them... They have their rights too!

Yes, you will listen to our voices... Only when youth unites, we could make a difference... We could lead the change...

We have presentation... We shared what we have discussed and concluded...

We made our own collage...

We visited the children's home...

We played with them...

They are really cute bunch of kids...

Some of us are the celebrities there who are extremely popular...

We are daring enough to do things we don't do in public...

We are their friends now...

We visited the Portuguese Settlement... We danced with them just as part of them...

We have a really awesome night...

Try apply for it next year... You might be one of the chosen one around the world to participate in this great event to change the world...

Start by ourselves, we change...

Retrieve your files from error memory card? - File Scavenger 3.2!

Recently I got this stupid, annoying error message : Disk is not formatted, do you want to format it now? You know, as you are the one holding camera and snapping pictures of the birthday boy and suddenly the computer ask you if you want to format the whole memory card?!?!?! Damn it! By the way, I chose No for this question.

I felt so bad as I kinda lost the pictures for the night and I am the only one with the camera. Hence, I googled up a lot of software and in the end, this File Scavenger 3.2 saved my life. The trial version you can only get the maximum 64kb of any file retrieved. I tried it and I manage to get the thumbnail size photo compared with my original 5mb per shot. But luckily, I manage to create some miracle from it and use the professional version of it.. XD

So, I started File Scavenger 3.2.

1) The Search For tab: type in *. (the extension file that you wanna find), e.g. I want to find jpg files, I type *.jpg
2) Look in: The drive that contain the file(memory card, etc)
3) Mode: Long (this search is more complete)
4) They will ask you whether to search deleted files or skipped those deleted files. I chose display deleted files.
5) Wait a second..... Taaaddaaaaa!!!

The memory is suppose to have only 30 files(my 30 shots for that night), but, I am able to get 132 files instead. Meaning that, those files I have previously still have some 'memory' in my memory card and should be able to retrieve them.

So, after you choose what files that you wanted to retrieve, click Step 2: Recover. Browse for the destination folder and click recover.

You will get your files back immediately!! They are complete!! Woohoo~~

My advice is that, try not to use that memory card for any important purposes any more as we might not be so lucky anymore :)

A life for a life?

Recently, while reading up the newspapers really made me think a lot.

1. Karak bus crash: S. Muthumani who did not have a valid driving license causes a bus crash which involved 7 deaths and 39 injuries.

2. Suicide bomber in Instanbul: Bomber wounded 32 people during the attack.

3. Gunmen attacking Iraqi church in Baghdad: Detonated 3 bombs in the fight, 19 killed and more wounded during the bloody fight today.

4. Indonesia death toll reaches 300: Result of two disasters happened - Earthquake and Tsunami

5.3,600 of brutality cases against women and children: This is the record of Perak state last year.

Etc, etc, etc...

There are too many cases to be shared and discussed. What's actually the reason behind all these?

Who should be blamed? The driver? The bomber? The Earth? The weapons?

There can be a lot of discussion and debates over these issues. But, all I concern is, will it happen again?

Proper education is the only way to solve all issues. Terrorists feel that they are doing the right thing. But, if they were given a better choice and education, will they bomb themselves?

All the governments from the World should do something and pour more money in education! What is it so important to upgrade iPhone 3Gs to iPhone 4 when poverty happens all around the world? Why do Malaysia needs the 100 storeys Mega Tower for when hundreds of thousand youth couldn't even get tertiary education?

Reflection... Please...

Namewee under probe video

黄明志,or better known as Namewee, once again appeared in the attention of everyone for his video posted.

Recently, he had posted up a video featuring the racist principal who made a very wrong statement about other races in Malaysia which made a huge amount of people mad. He had already removed the video from Youtube due to disapproval from various party including our Prime Minister.

He is a person who will stand up for things that happened around him, for example, a video about Tenaga Nasional when his hometown was hit by a blackout. Although it might be humiliating but I was taught 'Berani kerana Benar' during my secondary school as well. I do hope that his video could actually make people in Malaysia understand about how serious Racism issues could be and more united among us as multiracial or as Malaysian.

When I watched the news yesterday, they even said they feel that Namewee is instructed by someone or an organization for the creation of the video to create havoc. I am not sure about it but I think it isn't true. I am just afraid that this could be another politic tactic used to eliminate somebody or party from the politic world who really serve the people of Malaysia.

Stop Racism!
