I want holidays badly... have been cracking my brain to absorb all the facts...Yet, looks like they still resist to enter my brain...haiz...Looking back the pictures from my last field trip, how wish I can enjoy a lot a lot during this coming holidays.. recharge myself, push me even harder in my coming new semester...
This picture was taken by En. Wan Lofti, my invertebrate marine fauna lecturer...
I shall share some interesting pictures I have received via email too. Thanks for sharing the pictures!
Hmmm..wondering what are they??
Look closer...
And closer...yes..they are Golden rays... Gather around and start their migration journey...
Measuring up to 7 ft (2.1 meters) from wing-tip to wing-tip, Golden rays are also more rosaically known as cow nose rays. They have long, pointed pectoral fins that separate into two lobes in front of their high-domed heads and give them a cow-like appearance. Despite having poisonous stingers they are known to be shy and non-threatening when in large schools. The population in the Gulf of Mexico migrates, in schools of as many as 10,000, clockwise from western Florida to the Yucatan.
Hope you enjoy!!

Disable Autorun for all driver
Well..I would like to blog about this as This UKM... is full..hmmm..no..to be precise, is suffocated with autorun worms that duplicate themselves anywhere, any driver... The followings will actually reduce the chances of getting the worm into your system via pendrive(aka thumbdrive) when you need to load something from it.. For example, when you plug in your pendrive, your operating system will actually detect it and ask you what you want to do with it. So, that is autorun.
Autorun worms will actually hide themselves via several ways...edit your registry...something like hide your "run", disable your "regedit", etc.. Some good anti-virus software can detect it immediately once you plugged in your pendrive.. But, sometimes it might be too late as it already changed some of your system files.. So, by disable the autorun, you can save your lappie or PC with a higher chance(except you are facing some mutant autorun worm which can harm your operating system even without autorun it)..
First step,
go to start -> run -> type gpedit.msc -> click ok
Then,
the group policy thingy will pop out...click the '+' sign of administrative templates
Next,
click on system and browse until you find 'Turn off Autoplay' -> double click on it
Finally,
the turn off autoplay properties will pop out.. click on 'enabled' and change from 'cd-rom drives' to 'all drives'
TAAaaDAAaa!!
You are now saver than few minutes ago...
Specially written as people might ask this again and again.. haha..
