November 1st, Malaysia is just full of Surprises!

Just like what you see above, International Islamic University Malaysia(IIUM) just declared as a "No Dating Territory"

A banner in Gombak campus stated there, "IIUM is an Islamic territory. No Dating. ALLAH is watching us"

Funny? Haha.. Although it is said not an initiative from the university authority, but I guess they are implementing it in IIUM too.

Hmmm..I just wonder how you define no dating... never walk side-by-side(guy n gal)? Or should they set a 5 metres away rules if you need a companion to walk you back? What a joke.. Thank goodness I am studying in UKM.. :)

They say "no dating" the more the students will try to break the rules.

True, I don't really see a point for this "no dating" thingy. What's wrong with it? Islam believers can't have proper life? IF can't date, then how to get partner? Arranged marriage? Even married still can't date? Then, marriage only for reproduction? Haiz..

man dont go direct into conclusion, especially when u r not muslim.

ridiculous for you, as a non muslim but not for us.
as we sees ridiculous to burn objects made of paper in funerals. (not for some of us,right?)

the point is, we are not affected by it, so we dont complain.

joon hao,
seek any ustaz/ustazah ask them how.

cheers!

Well, I am a buddhist myself but I don't burn papers in funeral also..

Some of these are just ceremony but not really the items will be real in the underworld(although there are people who believe it will be 'sent' there)

And, I just don't see a point for it to be like this. Malaysia is an Islamic country too, will it be until an extent whole Malaysia can't date?(OMG! I hope it never happens)

What I am doing now is to speak out my point of view, hope my readers don't feel intruded. Just seeking for an answer for this action.

Wow, cool. If they make it that whole Malaysia don't date, maybe it'll backfire. As in in 30 years, the population of Chinese will outstrip the Malays. lol. With internet dating.........

nonsense...even if a malay guy is dating a malay girl, it could be merely just having a meal, watching a movie MINUS the physical contact wat...so what is the SIN committed there? i'm not saying they SHOULD allow but to post such stupid banner and stating it "NO DATING"...this is already 2009...almost 2010...not stone age...people can think and act rationally la...be it muslim or non muslim...and like us, the younger generation of chinese, you can ask how many of us even burn those paper effigies?
