I chose this blog title after reading these phrases in "The World is Flat" by Thomas L. Friedman.

- Change is hard. Change is hardest on those caught by surprise. Change is hardest on those who have difficulty changing too. But change is natural; change is not new; change is IMPORTANT. -

Actually I started reading this book many many months ago, but due to my hectic schedule in the university, I couldn't spend extra time on this stimulating book. Since I am having my holidays now, I guess, it is time for me to digest the info again - I read from the first page.

The world is changing, the climate is changing, people is changing, everything changes. In Bangalore, India, changes happened there too. Who said they are very poor in technology, who said they are lagging far behind the movement of the world? Americans or the Brits outsource a lot of their work to Bangalore for their high numbers in workers, I mean low salary workers. Call centers, accountancy firms there are helping the Americans to work on their tasks. One American accountant's salary could be worth 3 or 4 accountants in India. If I can choose, why not I outsource to India for better cost and high efficiency?

- There is nothing wrong with change, if it is in the right direction - by Winston Churchill

A lot of working environments have changed. For example, an airlines named JetBlu have their operators work at home. People such as housewives could just stay at home, taking care of their house chores while taking calls and assisting people to get their flight booking done! In Malaysia, we also have NuffNang which allow their workers to work at wherever they like as long as they get their job done. From my opinion, this is just great as we can work in an environment that we feel cozy and less stressful.

- A sense of solidarity and common purpose with our fellow inhabitants of Earth, and a real sense of responsibility towards future generations is lacking - by Daisaku Ikeda in Education Proposal, "The Challenge of Global Empowerment: Education for a Sustainable Future" (2002)

I caught this sentence by reading Cosmic, a monthly magazine of Soka Gakkai Malaysia. We need to change! We MUST change! Our ability to survive depends on profound change within ourselves, a deep rethinking about our way of life. Just imagine that, if people don't change(in a better way of course), history Adolf Hitler created can be not a history but also present and future. There can be more terrorist attacks if we kept using weapons against them and kill more of their families. We have to change our mindset, abolish all nuclear weapons in this world(inspiration from Josei Toda's Anti Nuclear Weapon Declaration in year 1957).

- The key to change... is to let go of fear - by Rosanne Cash

Many people fear of changes. Sudden change in planning, something happens suddenly. Changes doesn't mean it will not be good. If we could take up the courage and give it our best shot, probably we can get better result! Never try, never know.

- Nobody can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending - by Maria Robinson

- Sometimes it's the smallest decisions that can change your life forever - by Keri Russell

So, let's change. Hope all of us will change, create positive impact to our surroundings and lead our family, our nation, and worldwide to CHANGE!
