Going Underwater? But no money for casing?

Previously,  I have posted about my trip to Tioman Island(Live on Board, to be precise). I have shared some of the underwater scenery that we witness with our own eyes. Click here, here and here if you have missed it. XD

So, are you attracted to shots underwater?

There are a few ways you can take underwater shots...

You may already know some cameras can go underwater by itself(until certain depth and not saltwater)...

You may also already know some cameras can get extra underwater casing to submerge into the ocean...

You might also know if I am buying a dSLR underwater casing, it will cost me RM 4000 and above...
Just the casing, without the light strobe, etc...

But, you might not know about this yet...

Camera in plastic bag with Silica Gel!!

..

..

..

Just kidding anyway...

What I wanted to introduce is really durable plastic casing
(not like those hard casing you normally see in the market)

Presenting you

..

..

..

Yes, have you heard about this brand?

ewa-marine is a manufacturer of underwater housings for nearly EVERY film, digital cameras and video-camcorder in the market since 1970.

All housings are made in their factory in Germany and have optical grade glass front port.

One great thing, the housing is big enough to insert your flashgun(if you have one) too!!

For example, if I were to buy their housing for my Olympus E-410,

I will have several choices...

But since I am going deep dives,

I will get U-AXP for my camera.

Yes, your camera will be in that extra durable PVC bag.

Not to worry, water will not enter except you didn't close it properly
(same thing will happen if you buy hard casing lah...)

With this housing, you can go as deep as 50m or 150 ft.
Incredible right? Water pressure will not damage your camera when it's in the housing...

It has a pair of non-corrosive and seawater resistant clamping rails which fit together and perfect for sealing

3 screw knobs are used to tighten it up!

ewa-marine is just not only for diving purpose...

You can use it for swimming, snorkelling, yatching, or just plainly photo shooting in the rain :)

Oh, not to forget, for my dSLR, the housing will be 75% cheaper than getting the hard casing :P

For more info, check out their official website, here!

To purchase,

@jaerragus, reliable..as long as u don screw up when u seal it...

same as if you are getting the hard underwater casing...

the sealing and drying agent is important...
